The Emergency Medical Services Chiefs of Canada (EMSCC) are pleased to announce our intent to legally change the name of the association to the Paramedic Chiefs of Canada (PCOC). Consistent with the mandate of the Emergency Medical Services Chiefs of Canada White Paper, ‘Defining the New Road Ahead’, we have been systematically focusing on fulfilling the goals set out by our membership. Over the past four years the EMSCC has undertaken the task of defining and embracing a ‘clear core identity’ through an extensive branding process, and government relations program.
This name change accurately reflects the changing identity of Paramedics in Canada, and our core business – paramedicine.
In the interim, all current contact information will remain the same. A formal announcement will be made when the change becomes official.
